Booking a mock exam

Booking is three steps: choose a type → choose a session → confirm.

1. Choose an exam type

From your dashboard, start a booking and pick the exam type:

  • Situational Judgment
  • Clinical Skills
  • Mini-mock

Each type draws on its own credit, with a shared-credit fallback — see Credits & tokens.

2. Choose a session

You will see the sessions available for that type, with their date, time, location and remaining capacity.

Sessions you do not see are filtered out for a reason:

  • the session is full,
  • the session is not active yet (some are scheduled to open later), or
  • the session is at a location that is not offered to you.

3. Confirm

Confirm the booking. The credit is deducted and the seat is reserved in the same operation — there is no window in which one has happened and the other has not.

You will land on a confirmation page and the booking will appear under My Bookings.

What can go wrong

You seeWhat it meansWhat to do
Insufficient creditsNo specific credit for that type and no shared credits eitherContact an administrator to review your balance
Session fullThe last seat went while you were choosingPick another session — capacity is enforced at the moment of booking, not when the list was drawn
Session expiredYour sign-in expired mid-bookingSign in again and retry; no booking or credit was consumed
Why "session full" can appear on a session that showed free seats

Capacity is checked when you confirm, not when the list is rendered. If two students confirm the last seat at the same moment, exactly one succeeds. This is deliberate — it is what prevents an over-booked session.

Cancelling or changing

There is no "reschedule" action. To move to a different session: cancel the booking, then book the new one. Cancelling returns the credit, so the new booking can spend it.

An Active booking can be cancelled; a Cancelled or Completed one cannot. See Booking statuses.
