Mock Exam Booking — User Guide

This is the practical guide to using the PrepDoctors Mock Exam Booking System: how to book a session, how to manage bookings, and what the system does behind each button.

It covers three portals, because the system is really three front doors onto one booking database:

What the system does

It manages three kinds of bookable session:

  • Mock exams — Situational Judgment, Clinical Skills, and Mini-mock sessions.
  • Mock discussions — post-exam discussion sessions, offered per type (SJ Discussion, CS Discussion). Some require you to have attended a prior exam first.
  • Work checks — lab sessions where an instructor evaluates your work.

Around those it also handles credits and tokens, attendance, seating, lab and location assignment, evaluations and student feedback.

Two things worth knowing before you start

Sessions consume credits, and which credit is used depends on the session type. This trips people up more than anything else in the system — see Credits & tokens.

Some sessions have prerequisites. A discussion session can require that you have already booked or attended a specific earlier exam. If a session you expect to see is missing from your list, a prerequisite is the most likely reason.

This guide is being written

The platform is live and the sections above are accurate. Several deeper how-to pages are still being written — a section that exists is trustworthy; a topic that is missing simply has not been written yet. Nothing here is a placeholder or a guess.
